Norman & Shirley White

Our Story

Clark Catering Inc. is a family owned and operated business with its humble beginnings rooted on the west side of Chicago.

In the 1950’s the late Norman White, father of the founder, opened an incredibly popular barbeque house that was a neighborhood favorite! You see, cooking was Mr. White’s passion and feeding the people was his way to fellowship with the community.

Fast forward…circa 1993.  Laurali Clark, founder of Clark Catering Inc., followed in her father’s footsteps and tapped into her shared passion for cooking and Clark Catering was born!

As a hobby, Ms. Clark would prepare dishes for any and every one that solicited her services.  This was all done as a gesture of kindness, as she did not charge for these services.  At the encouragement of her children, she began to monetize her passion by preparing lunches weekly for the workers in Chicago’s downtown business district, more specifically The County Building and City Hall. The word traveled fast and before you knew it, Clark was preparing more than 200 lunches every Friday, from her home, delivering them to as many as 10 corporate offices.

Fast Forward again….circa 2000. Konyia Clark, daughter of Laurali Clark and Co-founder of Clark Catering Inc., joined her mother’s endeavors full time.  She grew the business from a passion project to a thriving and successful business that has catered to Fortune 500 companies, “A”list Celebrities, Non-profit organizations and the city’s Homeless population as way to give back to those that are less fortunate.

Our number one passion at Clark Catering is the people we serve.  We aspire to bring happiness to everyone that has had the Clark Catering experience, as we put a lot of love in our recipes!
